David Zabriskie (Garmin-Sharp) crashed during training on Friday before the stage 6 time trial at the Amgen Tour of California. Details surrounding the crash are limited at the moment, but Zabriskie will miss his start in San Jose.
A Garmin spokesperson informed VeloNews that Zabriskie crashed during a pre-ride on the course, “suffering an injury to his left shoulder.”
“He is with the team medical staff on his way to the airport for x-rays and evaluation and will not start today,” the team confirmed.
