For the sake of stopping the rumors! The Tour de Soulard is officially CANCELED this year!

I was just not able to handle running the race this year!

As to the rumors about me! No, my father did not die! Yes, I did get sick late last year and now I am in chronic kidney failure, and will be looking for a kidney transplant later this year (I hope).

Hopefully next year will see me in a better position to take on more and run this race!

See ya'll around
Chris

Thanks for the info, and my thoughts and prayers are with you for your transplant.

I'ld pray for your transplant too though I don't think it really cares! ;-)

Seriously, thanks for the help and leadership in the past and hope you recover well.

No doubt. That is such a great race--perhaps rivalling the old Moline Criterium from the and 1980s.

Chris is getting dialysis for several hours every week and still working to support his family. He's a tough guy. If anybody deserves a new kidney it's him. He put on one of the best Soulard races ever in 2007. It was truly unforgettable. The race took a hiatus in 2004 and it will again this year. It's a great course and the people in the neighborhood love it...especially at Clementine's (those guys are so friendly).
Sincerely, B.S.
