what do you all think? seem pretty tame for what they could have been in missouri?

Have they fixed (finished construction) on Olive downtown in front of the Paul Brown building, Old Post Office and City Grocery?...I know there were some holes that could swallow a small car, the road surface had returned to cobblestone in some areas and some of the old streetcar rails were exposed?

The profiles look flat, but that's because we don't have any mountains.  Missouri has the steep short climbs that don't look bad on a long profile.  Think about how hilly 94 is out around Augusta.  On the profile it doesn't look like much.

The route does not go down to this area at all. Old Post Ofice is between 9th & 8th on Olive. I ride all of these roads one time or another riding down to work and all the proposed routes have good to fair surfaces  (Lindell near Grand does get a bit rough, but nothing the Pros can not handle).

Oops...you're right, my bad...it does open up there on Olive and is a great ride....

WooHoo! I guessed good. I've got reservations for a B&B in Starkenburg on Hwy P which is just a couple of miles off of Hwy 94.

My hotel in Branson isn't really near the TT course, but close enough.

Ironically enough, I'll probably miss the finish in STL as the Cards moved the game time.

There are two nice very hills on Hwy P, great place to ride..

The Saturday route will be doing a 3.5 mile loop through Hermann before they head east to Washington, you should come into Hermann to watch, there will be many good places to see the race. Race should enter down about 12:45pm/ 1pm.

There will also be a Saturday ride starting at 8am from the Stone Hill Winery, loop through town on the same route the race will take, then head out Hwy H to Stony Hill and back.

And if your in Hermann Friday at 5pm there will be a two mile KOM TT up a very steep hill follwed by a free outdoor concert!

The B&B were we'll be staying is at the top of one of those hills near the old Catholic churches on P. I had to opportunity to ride it during Cycle Across Missouri a few years ago.

I'll have to pass on the rides. Last time I did something like a KOM TT, I had a heart attack!    I'll probably find my way to the Stone Hill Winery on Friday and the Mt. Pleasant Winery in Augusta on Saturday.

I had been waiting for the routes to come out to get a reservation for Branson.  I think I might camp at one of the campgrounds on 265, which is really close to the turn off from 465 to 76 and the final few miles.  

I wonder how it'll work to line the roads, if we'll have to walk it.  That section of 76 doesn't exactly have areas to pull off on.

That and and if I read it correctly the football game and the baseball game traffic....
