Next weekend I'll be spending the weekend with the family at a camp near Meramec Springs.  We'll be bringing CX/MTB bikes.  I know there are some trails around there and we'll probably take some time with the kids out there, but there will likely be some time for me to get out and do some gravel riding if there's anything really good available.

I'll be staying in the woods on the opposite side of Hwy 8 from Meramec Springs park, and would prefer to ride to any destination.  Any tips from locals or those in the know appreciated.

Thanks!

Chris... That's right down the road from the route for the Joe Dirt ride...should be maps floating around on mapmyride, etc.
I'm sure there are plenty of connections to add to increase distance as well...

gravel was in excellent shape when we rode it memorial day.
make sure you bring the map, as the roads are mostly unmarked.

here are the maps:

I rode the joe dirt counterclOckwise. I used the mapmyride rout and loaded it onto my garmin 500 and used the "course" feature. All was good. Needed 2 water bottles though.
