Sad to see the WNTT series come to an end but excited for our final race and party.

What is everyone planning to bring to the party? What kind of party foods do we want?

What was the most favored oreo cookie flavor of the year?

We're going to bring
  • a case of something micro-brewed locally
  • some chips and salsa or dip
  • something from Donut Palace or I'll never hear the end of it from Justin

I'll be bringing a spectrum of non-alcoholic fizzy and non-fizzy things. Does anyone besides me drink milk ...?

I plan on bringing Ice cream, or maybe Ted Drewes frozen custard, (thank goodness TD also sells dry ice).

I was going to start a thread about the last edition of WNTT for 2012 but this one's sure to get read...

A couple of notes to get us all on the same page:
  • We're going to do the one-way thing. It'll be either from the confluence parking lot to the regular finish line, or from the regular start line to a cone near the confluence parking lot
  • We'll pick the direction sometime tomorrow afternoon before registration opens so you'll know where to line up for the start at registration time
  • You must register before 6:15 pm. No exceptions. Sorry about this, but it's a safety thing. We need time to get to start and finish, and riders do not want to contend with late arrivals during their race. If you arrive after 6:15pm we'd love to have you join us for the party but you cannot race.
  • We still have a number of undecided final standings. I'll bring my computer and we'll do the podium thing as the party progresses and as the results are calculated
  • We have a big green box full of medals, envelopes, and schwag. Hopefully by the time we all go home the box will be empty
I have no idea what I'll do with my Wednesdays after tomorrow. Whatever it is, it won't be nearly as fun as Wednesdays have been.

Fizzy and non-fizzy drinks and one kale smoothie, though I don't want to hear any gagging sounds. You do have to like kale in order to enjoy the beverage.

I have never done the WED TT, but I am familiar with the area....
Take the backroads thru Spanish Lake, merge on 367 turning right, cross over both rivers and end up in Alton, make a right than a left, right again and there it is "Fast Eddies" Beer, Boogie and Burger at a fraction of a price....easy fun
Viel Spass beim Radel :)  :D :P ;) B) -_- .....no questions...

Will not be able to make it for the finale, but just wanted to thank Mark, Nola, Ron, our esteemed rock solid holder and all the others that supported every wednesday thru the year.  All aspects of my "racing" have improved because of this series.  Looking forward to next April already, will probably even build a real TT bike.
Cheers, Dennis From St. Dallas

Mark, Nola, Don, Lynn, Rock-Solid Ron, and all who contributed to the event, your dedication and hard work made for a wonderful race season, and an exceptionallly fine Finale. And how thoughtful of you to arrange for a good tailwind to bring us all home -
Many many thanks,
Madeleine

YES! Good point! I was able last evening, at long last, to deliver favorable conditions for ultra-fast TT times.
If you can't change the outcome, change the game  :)
