I have a friend that is interested in getting into road riding, possibly even doing some crits next year. Does anybody have something in a 54 or med size that they could put together for around $500. He is about 5'8".

I have a gios compact pro.  It's a lugged steel frame with Campy record/chorus parts.  I had a rear wheel built for it a couple years ago.  I rarely ride it any more and it has sat in my basement unused since I took it off the trainer last spring.  

I think it's a 53 or 54cm frame.  I'm 5'7" and pretty stretched out on it. PM me if interested.
