Did you have local coverage of the little bike race we had in Colorado?

I wish I was there!!! I texted Mike Rosen & he said it was crazy fun & better than ToMO when they had the finish in downtown STL.

Haven't posted here in a LONG time, but Mark has sucked me back in.  There were countless crazies at the top of Flagstaff.  My favorite was Gumby.  He was running around like a maniac pounding Wild Turkey.  What made it so different to watch from Tour of Missouri was that the climb spread out and slowed down the racers.  Then racers started trickling back down without any vehicle escort, while others were still racing up.  In many places they had to go slower down than up, because spectators were not getting out of their way.
Kurt meant to do that.

Mike people on twitter made it sound like the folks on flagstaff were just not getting out of the way as guys were going up and there were several near misses. Was this the case or people just being dramatic?
I went to last years race and the entire state seems into the race. There was a excitement in the air that i didnt feel at the TOM

Wish i could have gone this year

It looked alot like TV coverage of a tour mountain stage.  At least where I was, there was a clear path made.  Actually team cars appeared more in the way than spectators.  Once the front groups had gone by, the team cars started coming through very slowly.  Racers were forced to come along side team cars to pass on the way up.   I was right near the top.  The story may have been different closer to the bottom.
Kurt meant to do that.

Kurt,

Don't you want everyone to remember your finest moment?
Kurt meant to do that.
