Here's the website from last year: http://springfieldracing.com/
There was a low turnout in 2011, but the same weekend had a local race at Matson, and the DINO 6/12/24.
2011's course used a 5 mile lap w/400' of climbing per. The course reminded me of a slightly hilly, rocky, SIUE.

Jeff Sona, Carrie Sona and I have been doing this race for a few years. The attendence isn't like Burnin but it is a good crowd. It is well run and the course/trail might be my favorite of all of the races I do. It is tight in many spots, technical in many and fast and flowing most everywhere. I like the shorter distance (I think just over 6 miles) as your turn comes up faster. Last year the three of us kicked but as the springfield crowed might not be quite as fast as the best of St. Louis. I think that if a good St. Louis contingient went down, this will be an anual event on everyone's calender.

I've made it to several, it really is a great race. I went to ride there in June and there are a lot more trails I haven't ridden before, and I hope they do throw in a few of the new trails since they're so much fun. It'll be another fun weekend pairing it with the Tour de Lizard on Sunday over in Arkansas City, KS!

I did the 6 hour in 2010. It was awesome!. After I sent out the APB on this race I was reminded that I was invited to a wedding thats going to be a real rager!. I havent been able to make it to Springfield for a race in awhile now. It bums me out. They do good work for anybody that maybe on the fence about going. Go and do the 12 solo for me!
