There are still a few Regional X-Terra's coming up for anyone interested at www.xterraplanet.com. The Logansport Indiana race (Aug 11th) is an excellent race and venue. There is also a long and short coarse X-Terra in the Lincoln Nebraska area on Aug 11th.
I'm heading to X-Terra Illinois Wilds on Aug 18th and have not raced this coarse yet. Can anyone provide a coarse description for the bike and run coarse?

I did it last year, but won't be able to make it this year.
The swim is in a narrow lagoon pretty much. I remember it not looking very enticing. There is a steep bank to get in and out so they started the swim with everyone in the water.
The bike is comparable to Brommelsiek in elevation gain/technicality/terrain but without field crossings. Here is my garmin data. According to it is 1,000 feet of climbing for around 11 miles. http://connect.garmi...ivity/164674225
The run is more or less a cross country run through the wildlife park with only one significant climb (short and steep) on asphalt around the last 0.25 mile or so.
