The web site says they have bike racks outside the main entrance of the zoo.  Anybody use them?  Are they in a location that would help prevent people messing with the bikes?  Any info would be appreciated.  I want to ride to metrolink and then bike to the zoo from the station then lock it up and walk around a bit and see the new sea lion exhibit but I will pass on the bike part if the racks are not good or in a bad spot

FYI this Sunday I drove to the zoo and there are indeed good bike racks at least at the South Entrance of the Zoo.  One is right near the entrance and is highly visible the other is a little farther west of the entrance in a shaded area but still pretty visible.  When cleared to ride again I will ride to the zoo and feel good about locking it in the rack

A tip: get and carry a mini Ulock, and lock it through the rear wheel across the chainstays.  This makes the bicycle impossible to ride, thus a thief would have to carry it away or throw it in a vehicle and later have the mini Ulock cut off.

This saved my bicycle once!
