A good way to get a little extra performance (or any performance at all) when it's really-friggin-hot out is to put a small bag of ice high up on your back. The trick is to either use something like panty hose or a baggie with just the tips of the corners cut off to allow the melted ice, aka water, to flow and cool you.

Ahhhh, think spring thaw...

We'll bring an extra cooler tomorrow and stop on our way up to Columbia Bottom to pick up a couple of bags of ice. When we head out to start the TT I'll unload it at the start line where you can grab a handful before your start.
