So if a person wins their age group in a cat 2 race by over 4 minutes should that person upgrade?

Seriously?   Be a man, either talk to the guy face to face, or race something else.  I've already made several people cat up in the dirt crits, call this person out in person.  I did to one person yesterday, and they got my point and has agreed to race up next race.  Beside age groups aren't racing.  Overall is racing.  Toe the line with everyone to see where you come out.

Or you could get faster...

Some people race for the series, they are entitled to win that distinction if need be--this is a common and the mountain bike culture is not as rigid as...well, the other culture.  By the by, you are are referring to Mike Bobelak and the guy has been training his tail off since January to come out of the box and he seems to have a pretty good peak going.  He already posted that he was upgrading Monday. First CC race back in 2 years.  I am coming for all yous beeches.

Great to have you back, Ralph!  You were rolling pretty well till you got that flat.  Hopefully build toward cross season- looking forward to cooler weather and maybe some form myself.  Meanwhile, having a blast racing with great guys- priceless!
