Hello, Could anyone please tell me their opinion if they think riding on Fee Fee and Olive roads are safe? Is there a better time of day to ride these roads?
Also, I'm looking for a night ride route option. I'm moving from downtown and I'm used to riding to Forest Park at night, which I feel relatively safe doing. Would anyone ride Marine road to Creve Coeur Lake at night? Would Olive, west bound, be safe at night?
Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Fee Fee from Olive to Seven Pines isn't that great. There are neighborhood streets you could use to avoid that stretch.
Olive from Fernwood to I-270 is OK, but not great either.
Technically, CC Park closes at dusk.
I live near Parkway North. If you tell me where you're moving to, I can give you suggestions for riding in that area.

Thanks for the info. Good point about the park closing at dusk. I only have time to ride at night some days so open to options around that area.
Moving to Page and Bennington. I work out in Chesterfield and thought about using Fee Fee to Olive westbound to commute to work. But, need a night route as well.

Rides from Page/Bennington:
"South-ish" route:
Bennington to Fee Fee, left to Ross (or cut through neighborhoods), right to Olive, left to Coeur de Ville, right to Ladue, right to Mason or Woods Mill or Stablestone or Olive, then back Olive, left on Creve Coeur Mill, right on Old Farm, straight on Bookbinder, right on Greenbough, right on Hasbrook, right on Seven Pines, left on Fee Fee, left on Bennington.
"North-ish" route:
Bennington north to McKelvey (past Dorsett), left on Creve Coeur Mill (there are neighborhoods along the way you could go through to avoid traffic on McKelvey - just need to get over the RR tracks), through CC Park, out the south end to CC Mill, through Old Farm back the same as above.
"East-ish" - Marine to Fee Fee to Midland, down as far as you want to U. City.
"West-ish" - Through CC park, across the bridge, lollypop loops in St Charles (either north or south on Arena Parkway/Upper Bottom).

Update:
After moving all week/weekend got a chance to do some exploration. I am familiar with Ladue/Conway roads, so tried your "south" route today. Was impressed with the scenery and light traffic. Vehicles 90% of the time gave me lots of space when passing. Rode back all the way on eastbound Olive and wasn't too bad until I got past 141. But Fee Fee road is just up the hill. Can't wait to check out the rest of the area.
I wouldn't ride these roads at night though.
Thanks again for the suggestions.

i ride these areas in the day and get bullied by cars. with the commuters coming in and out from Earth City and Downtown, plus the drinking crowd coming to Westport, I don't think I would ride much at night for commuting purposes. You can probably work out a good fitness loop away from the heavy traffic, but i don't think i trust the traffic or lighting enough otherwise on the main streets.
