Since I had to re-do setup, I decided to use Stan's tape this time with the Tubeless valve stems and the tire seated up the first time but I'm a little concerned with blowing the tire off the rim since there is less "buildup" of tape to securely hold the bead against the bead seat. I didn't want to mess with tape again, so I simply used the stock vinyl DT rim strip over the Stan's tape. My assumption is this would help fill in the voids better and is really tight on the rim, plus I think it's a little lighter than another round of GT. Anybody ever done this?
