Hello,

I want to buy a relatively affordable 700x23c tire if someone is looking to part with one in new or lightly used condition.

Thanks

There are a bunch of good deals online depending on what you want in a tire. I just got some mich pro 3s for $27 a tire from ribble. No reason to go with used(or crappy tires), especially since that's the only part of the bike in contact with the road..

Thanks for the feedback.  My original plan was to order a tire from Amazon or Nashbar, but I thought I'd check if someone has a tire they don't need, perhaps a take-off.

I'm not really sure what I want in a tire; I only got a road bike recently, so I definitely don't need anything too exotic or racing-oriented.  What are your thoughts on TPI and 23 vs. 25?  I have 23 both front and rear at this time.

I'm considering these:

Vittoria Zaffiro Slick II Wire
Michelin Dynamic Sport

I used a Vittoria Zaffiro 23cm treaded tire on my fixed gear, raced it one season at Penrose and used it for commuting off and on the past couple years.  It's a heavy, durable tire, the rubber hardened up quite a bit over the years so I never really corner hard in slick conditions.  Not many flats.  Good commuter tire but I would not race crits on it.

Go for 25. It rides better and have lower rolling resistant at the expense of few extra grams.

If you're not racing go for the 25s. Of those two go for the Zaffiros.
