Just when you think it can't possibly get any better.

We had 67 starts tonight - a new record by a bunch. I had a feeling good weather would bring more out. More riders = more fun.

Results are up for this week's Goldenberg Heller Wednesday Night TT. Everything looks ok to my tired eyes. If you find a mistake just drop me an email and we'll get it fixed.

As always, I have a couple of notes I gotta touch on
  • Ride to the right. With these 30 second starts we really have no way to avoid a lot of passing out on the course. Please be aware of riders approaching from behind and let 'em through. If you're the one doing the passing you should ALWAYS let the rider you're overtaking know you're there

  • It's totally cool to be on the course after you finish. Be mindful of riders who are still racing if you do go out there. They're going as fast as they can and they have no oxygen in their brains. This makes them dangerous to you. Please be careful out there.

  • You guys are all awesome at the start. Thank you very much for working with us on the starting line up. Thank you SO much for keeping right so traffic can get by.
I'm sure I had another point but can't remember it. I'm tired. Thank you all for another terrific evening.

Thank you also to Lynn and Ron and Vickie, our volunteer crew tonight. This thing just could not happen without you.

Thanks again,
Mark and Nola

Mark

Had a question about my time from WNTT. It shows that I took 56 min. to complete.  Can that be rechecked. I think I had about 25 minutes give or take.   Had a great time! thanks for all you do.

Doh! I hit 86 instead of 56 on your finish minutes, which of course makes your time 30 minutes faster.

Sorry about that Andy, and thanks for checking. I corrected the results and re-uploaded them above.

Thank you Mark and Nola!  Had a wonderful time last night.  (no pun intended)

Would you please change me from unattached to The Hub.  It was my first "official" race for the team and I would really appreciate it.  It's the little things :D

Thanks again.

Ah yes, of course, Judy. You're absolutely right. Sorry to have overlooked that. We even talked about your having joined on with The Hub and I missed it. My bad.
I've made the change and updated the DB so we won't miss it again.

Mark& Nola Thanks for the hard work(and putting up with us). To the woman who rode with Mikey on the return leg (Judy?) Thanks! You pushed him to keep going!  Caution he will talk your ear off, so keep him out of breath...
Was totally a proud papa when I saw his Avg speed, considering his only ridden a road bike 4 times!

Due to our mistake with Andy's time we decided to do a full review of the numbers to make sure there were no other typos. I'm happy to report we found no other discrepancies between our scoresheets and the results file.

Time for another cup of coffee.

Cool story! Mikey's a trooper. We're going to turn him into a roadie.  :)

... Sorry to have overlooked that....

...But you did show you do indeed pay attention to many little things.  I promise to never ever again pin my Tuesday Night World's number on for Goldenberg Heller Big Ring Wednesday.....

Yeah nice try but considering the source, we kinda saw that one coming.  <kidding>
SRSLY though, that one did catch us up for a minute or two last night.

When I cross the finish line, I couldn't make up my mind whether to yell out the number on my back or my correct WNTT number.  I decided yelling the number on my back had less opportunity to create confusion.....I should have followed up with you afterwards but my calves were so locked up, I couldn't hardly get around for quite a while.  By the time I saw you in the parking lot, I had forgotten about it....

It's a good rule of thumb for this and all races to KNOW THE COURSE. Don't add unnecessary distance! After taking the big loop to turn around I was told the turn around is the much smaller loop with the cone (which should have been my first hint) :-)

Thanks Mark, Nola, and everyone involved!
