Just tried to register for this event through Ballwin's website.  They are no longer accepting on line registration for racers who are non-residents. :(

"The maximum number of web enrollments for non-residents has been reached for this activity.
The class is closed to further web registrations."

For those of you who raced last year, can you register day of, or does this situation mean I'm p00p out of luck?

Talked to the folks at the Ballwin Pointe while I was up there today.  The race should go, but you can call their race hotline for information 636-207-2381.

There are around 50-60 preregistered.  They welcome race day sign ups and fully expect to have another 50+ race day entries.  So if you haven't preregistered feel free to show up and race. Get there early! A race at 8AM.  There will be electronic timing from Fleet Feet this year, but racers are expected to know how many laps they have completed while they race.

Trails on the course are really fast: few water holes on the top of G/P (always there), Love, R/C are great; G/P is rock, no major changes from the rain(no washouts), the "Big Horse Turd" from 3 weeks ago is still on the trail.....

Race update! It rained which made it slick of course. So my first race and 10 mins in I hit root flip into tree and bend wheel!! Now that sucked!!

Dodo-head (me) left our club's tent there.  Drove right past it in the rain on my way out of the park.  let me know if you know where it is.
thanks!

Rich, tent not there, didn't see it in the visitors center ,check with the Ballwin city crew.

Re-rode the course today ,trails were awesome ,did several 18 min laps without a huge effort, of course no flats....
Thanks to Steve F. For loaning me his bike when I flatted for the 2nd time ( cut side wall, then pinch flatted) .
Super bummed i had the flats,I felt pretty good and was climbing Love well for a " big guy" but that's racing .
FYI, a Pugsley kicks up a HUGE ROOSTER TAIL, in the rain.....
