Does anybody use Polar cycle computers?  I am considering purchasing a computer to record my cadence and heart rate. I want a product that provides software to analyze the data. At the moment I'm researching Garmin Edge and Polar CS500, CS600. Any feedback welcome.

Thanks,
ka

Hi, I have been using a Polar CS600 with Power Meter for over 2 years and I liked it.  The Polar software was great for  analyzing data, but the version I had was not compatible with my Mac so that was a bummer.  I recently sold everything though as I am making the switch to Garmin.  I have a Garmin 310XT watch and hope to purchase a Vector power meter in the future.  I like the fact that Garmin is ANT+ so it's compatible with a lot of aftermarket products from different vendors.  I believe Polar uses bluetooth or infrared technology which really locks you into their product lineup.  If I am wrong about that fact I apologize.  But I have been very happy with the reliability of both Garmin and Polar.  Also, I think Polar is more expensive.
