Hi there. Just wondering if our Wednesday ride is still on tonight considering the heat this evening. I'm up for it but don't want to show up and no one be there.
Thanks! Kathy

Yes - still planning to ride tonight - we will do a slower pace and less mileage.
Prolly the 20 mile or take a vote.
The heat is not going away and you can ride in it as long as you are SMART !!!
Please !!! Bring plenty of water and HYDRATE before!!!
Wear sunscreen.
Cant always ride in 70 degree weather !!!

~ FYI ~
For Wed 9/26 ~ this ride will be cancelled due to a great event most of us will be attending and I hope you do too
We will continue the weekly Wed Flagship rides from (Webster) Straub's next week with our last on scheduled for
10/24/12. Then we will take 2 weeks off and start our WINTER NITE RIDES from Maplewood on 11/10/12.
I will post a new topic with all the details included for that ride but plan to roll by 7PM - start place will be desginated soon.
The Gateway Cyclocross Cup
Cyclocross combines the speed of road bike races with the terrain of mountain bike events and adds hurdles and uphill climbs. The bicycles resemble road bikes with slightly wider, knobby tires for traction on turf and on pavement. Athletes hop off and shoulder their bicycles on uphills and over barriers, requiring equipment that is featherweight and bullet proof.
Described by some as “the NASCAR of cycling,” the racing is fast and furious, contagious and crowd friendly. Cyclocross has become the biggest spectator draw in competitive bicycling and is the only segment of cycling market that did not decline in 2009- gaining nearly 10 percent.
The Gateway Cross Cup is proud to be hosted by the City of University City. While you’re here for the race we hope you enjoy the rich dining, shopping and cultural opportunities that will make you want to extend your stay.
Just minutes away from Heman Park is the LOOP- St. Louis’ destination strip for great day and night life.

Hope to see you all there for an exciting evening of racing!!!
