anyone have a recent runin with Glendale police on Lockwood?  I'm going to file a complaint about a recent incident and want to know if it's isolated or part of an intentionally more aggressive stance toward cyclists.  Glendale police patrol the stretch of Lockwood from Berry west to Holmes, along a popular cycling route.

No problems - the road is getting real bad going East at that spot.  I had to take the right lane.

I ride that stretch regularly and haven't seen them. I'd like to know what's happening. FYI, my riding is at lunch hour.

I can't imagine the issue as there is only one stop sign. Of course, I always do a st Louis stop there like most of the drivers so maybe they're letting me pass.

a Glendale officer told a group of cyclists to ride single file when they weren't impeding traffic.

The guy just doesn't take his job seriously enough to learn the law. He is an annoying but inevitable circumstance. Single up if the guy says so, but there's no reason to change your habits over it.

Must be the time of year. I was riding with a friend in rural Jersey county (you'll see a car every 10-15 minutes) last Sunday, when a Jersey County trooper pulled up next to us and told us to ride single file also.

My 2 cents since I live reasonably close to this area: Its easy revenue for the city,so police officers sit in the islands on Lockwood and nab anyone exceeding 32 mph, 33 mph will get you a $125 ticket I believe, I will add as I mentioned on a recent post, There appears to be a newer officer on the force who wants to make a name for himself, I was pulled over last weekend because my Thule T2 hitch rack was "obstructing" my license plate, He was kind enough to tell me he was "going to let me off with no citation",  I guess be aware of this area and following their rules..
