I'll publish the rules when I get a chance...
Here's my initial list. If I've forgotten any, please let me know.
- MO USA Cycling-licensed riders only.
- Road, criterium, and time trial events only.
- 6 Categories
o Men 1,2
o Men 3
o Women 1,2,3
o Women 4
o Masters 40+
o Masters 50+
- If there’s a Masters 40+ race with no Masters 50+ race, 50+ masters get their points added to their 50+ total. (I.e. there are no 50+ masters in the 40+ standings.)
- Costs to promoters
o $.50 per rider per day
o Provide free entry to each winner from last year to one race per event (e.g. if a winner qualifies as a Masters 40+ and Cat 3 and there are separate races for each, only one free entry is given)
- Points are awarded to the top 10 finishers in each event as follows:
o 1st=15
o 2nd=12
o 3rd=10
o 4th=8
o 5th=6
o 6th=5
o 7th=4
o 8th=3
o 9th=2
o 10th=1
- Races with fewer than 10 entrants award points from the bottom up. E.g. with 7 entrants, first place gets 8 points, second gets 6, etc.
- State championship events (road race, time trial, criterium) get double points.
- Major events (Tour of KC, Gateway Cup) get points for overall for those categories to which the event awards overall. (E.g. if Gateway Cup doesn’t have Masters overall, then no overall points for Masters.)
- In cases where there are multiple races RUN AT THE SAME TIME for either of these new categories (e.g. Froze Toes had a Women Open race and a Women Cat 4 race), only the most difficult race is eligible for points (e.g. for Froze Toes, only the Women 4 racers in the Women Open race get points). In the case where there are multiple races run AT DIFFERENT TIMES for these new categories (e.g. ICCC's Criterium Race is having a Cat 3 & 4 race as well as a Cat 1,2,3 race), racers will receive points in both races (assuming they finish in the top 10 overall).
