That last one needs to be blown up into a poster, autographed (by the sharks, not the rider), and hung in the shop.

How fitting that an attorney is being cheered on by a gallery of sharks!

Team Segal was awesome! Hands down the life of the course. I even saw some nipples.

I believe they call that "professional courtesy." ;)

What was the scoop on the post-race scuffle after the men's elite race? Nebraska Cycling News photographer John Peterson captured some of the action. (Go to the second page.)

I have read that some folks were heckling Jonathan Page during a post-race interview and some Page supporters didn't take too kindly to the heckling.

From Jonathan Page's blog...

On another note…something that really disappointed me was this: While I was interviewing at the finish line, 2 obnoxious fans were booing and yelling obscene things at me. They were caught on camera by a guy named Sam, (cyclefile.com) whom I met a few days earlier when he interviewed me. They then proceeded to punch Cori’s brother and throw him into a bunch of Richard Sachs bikes that were lying on the ground after Cori’s brother asked them to at least have some respect and stop booing.

I don’t think ANYONE, whether you support me or any of the other riders out there competing, appreciates that in our sport. We are competitors but at the end of the day, the bike community in the USA is small and it’s really disappointing to see something like that. Poor sportsmanship is something I don’t tolerate. Treat others how you want to be treated. If you can’t say something nice, don’t say something at all…etc etc. You’ll find jerks everywhere but I hope the people who know these 2 will talk to them and maybe the next time they come to “support” they can leave at that…SUPPORT.

Brad Huff, a professional on the track, was booing Page during the race and threw a punch at Page's wife's brother? WTF? Lame!

I don't care about the goofballs fighting but do hope that the Richard Sachs bikes laying on the ground survived without damage.

Those bikes were sooooo nice! I have never seen so many Sachs all in one place before, and seeing them all lay on the ground like they were just some racers cross bike was weird! I too hope those bikes are all ok.

Darrell Bratton saw a couple of racers going toe to toe in the beginning of the elite race. There was some sort of conflict over who crashed out whom. I'm not sure if either one of them protested it to the officials (or if the officials saw it).

Pretty sure Huff was not involved at all. He was running around giving people hell but all in good fun.

I think there is more to the story than what Jared Roy's blog mentions.

That was Hodges-Myerson and Baker(?). Haven't heard anything official about suspensions.

Sherkat, it looks like they messed up your scoring on Saturday too. You were not lapped with three laps to go, were you?

The first lap fisticuffs were totally bogus. It was a Vitamin Cottage rider that threw the punch. (Jonathan Baker?) His bike was tangled with another riders and he swung at him out of nowhere. All of the spectators around were shocked and yelled at him immediately. The next lap several of us were on the same corner and willed him to wipe out huge which he did with panache. I think he quit after that. That was OK with me.

As far as the Springfield boys goes, I didn't see the start of the fight, but that first picture to me looks like Jim Farasay got pushed into those bikes and Cale was just helping his friend out.(Huff was nowhere to be seen.) In the end it was just a lot of pushing and yelling that I saw.

If they were heckling Page that's too bad, but come on, Page's brother in law had to start a fight over it?!

Sticks and stones children.

No way!!! I was having my best race of the year!!! I think they pulled both of us by mistake, then missed your number! I lined up next to an independent guy from Colorado who was one number off from me, and he got scored way up even though I dropped him in the second lap...ah well, I'm hoping that the coasts can't get their shit together and nationals winds up in Louisville or Cincinatti next year!!!

For the record.......about 90% of the guys in the UCI race have wanted to punch Adam at some point in time. UCI events are always like this.....everyone is always wound up and ready to kill. I love it!

Can we all have a moment of silence for that pile of Richard Sachs bikes.
