Nominating Process
I constructed an Stlbiking
Cycling Awards nominating word document listing 9
categories and emailed the document to 15 cyclists that
I thought represented our regional cycling community. These cyclists were both men and
women with various levels of skill. Several live outside
the metropolitan St. Louis area. These cyclists added
their nominees to the word document and emailed the
renamed file back to me.
Online polling began about
2 weeks ago. The results listed below are exactly as
those online viewers voted. Polling allowed only 1 vote
per IP address. Even though this system isn't perfect
balloting was more accurate than last year.
Anyone whose name appears
below should be pleased that their name was submitted by
more than one cyclists on the nominating committee. Some
of the results may surprise those not familiar with
these venues or riders. 386 viewers submitted votes.
That's a huge increase from last years poll. The polling
on best off-road venue did not work properly so it was
deleted from the awards. I may post that one question
over again during the coming week.
