This Is The One Event You Need To Be Seen At!
The Midwest Bicycle Expo & Swap Meet, taking
place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, January 25,
2009, at Gateway Center, One Gateway Drive in
Collinsville, IL (just 12 minutes from the Arch by
car), is the place to put your unneeded gear in
front of more than a thousand bike enthusiasts. Bike
shops, nonprofits, individuals, and any bike-related
businesses are invited to reserve booth spaces prior
to January 15 to sell their bike-related goods.

A Classic Bike Show will also take place. Show your
classic bicycle and compete for trophies in the
following categories: Stingrays – Original; Stingray
– Restored; Balloon Tire; Middleweight; BMX; Special
interest (any bicycle that does not fit into any of
the above classes); Best of Show. Only $5 per entry

The price for a bicycle-related booth prior to
January 15, 2009, is $60 per 10' x 10' square. Price
for multiple squares remains $60 per 10' x 10'
square. Tables, chairs, and booth packages are
available for an added fee. Prices rise after
January 14.

There will be a Silent Auction from 11 a.m.
to 2 p.m. featuring bike-related items and many
items of interest including gift certificates from
companies like Pearl Izumi, Italian specialty items
from The Hill, a Whole Foods gift basket, B&B's,
restaurant gift certificates, movie tickets,
bicycling accessories, deli's, coffee shops, ice
cream, books, art work, and much more. Vendors are
invited to contribute an item to the auction.
“This event will bring together under one roof the
best that cycling has to offer: The best deals, the
best products, and the best support and ideas
available to make bicycling the best way to get
around in the St. Louis area,” said Bill Nolan,
planning committee chair. "We want to support the
cycling community in every way we can. One way to do
that is to offer them a fantastic winter biking
event like the Midwest Bicycle Expo & Swap Meet."
